We can always find an excuse to travel west in this beautiful country we call home. This trip was originally planned around attending the Triennial Gathering of the Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, which was held in Salt Lake City in July.

"Held in the Heartland: German POWS in the Midwest 1943-46" is the program literally rolling into the Neosho-Newton County Library parking lot on Monday. Inside a "bus-eum" - a converted school bus that is now a mobile museum with its own 21-seat theatre - the prisoner's story will be told through narrative texts, artifacts and multi-media.
